En als Wij gewild hadden, dan hadden Wij hun gestalten veranderd op hun plaatsen (van zondigheid), waarna zij niet weg zouden kunnen gaan en niet terug zouden gaan.

And if We willed, We could deform them upon their present locations: they would be unable to move ahead and they would never go back.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
